Upcoming ESOR Visiting Professorship Program and
V International Scientific-Practical Conference of Azerbaijan Society of Radiologists

The ESOR Visiting Professorship Programme to Azerbaijan and the V International Scientific-Practical Conference of the Azerbaijan Society of Radiologists (ASR) will take place on October 10–12, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel Boulevard, Baku ↗.

This joint event, organized by the European School of Radiology (ESOR) and ASR, represents a major milestone in radiology education and collaboration in Azerbaijan, gathering leading international experts to share knowledge, experience, and future perspectives.

7 international CME credits from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®)

24 DTT credit points awarded by the Scientific Medical Council of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.

Day 1 — ESOR Visiting Professorship

The first day will be dedicated to an advanced course in Musculoskeletal Radiology, designed for final-year residents and board-certified radiologists. The programme will cover:

  • Imaging of bone and soft tissue tumours
  • Frequently misinterpreted findings in paediatric radiology
  • Whole-body MRI in paediatrics and developmental disorders
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions

Day 2 — 5th International Conference of ASR

The second day will broaden the scientific scope across multiple radiology subspecialties. Sessions will address:

  • Imaging of bone and soft tissue tumours
  • Artificial intelligence in imaging, including neuroimaging and CT applications
  • Neuroimaging of intracranial haemorrhage and stroke
  • PET–MR in clinical practice
  • Oncologic and pelvic imaging, including ovarian cancer staging with ORADS
  • Anatomy and pathology of brachial and lumbosacral plexus
  • Hands-on workshops and satellite symposia on new ultrasound technologies

Day 3 Tusi Hospital, Baku

The final day focuses on contrast-enhanced ultrasound in liver and thyroid pathology and the use of AI in ultrasound.

Qusar, 15 March 2025

The Qusar Regional Radiology Conference was successfully held on March 15, 2025, at OKI Hospital in Qusar. Experts discussed key topics such as MRI in liver diseases, advancements in ultrasound and Doppler technologies, and interventional radiology in hepatic conditions. The event fostered professional exchange and regional collaboration in radiology.

Recent conference 24.11.2024

On November 23, 2024, Medlife Hospital in Goranboy hosted a radiology seminar featuring expert-led sessions on ultrasound innovations, AI applications, and contrast-enhanced imaging. Topics included breast disease imaging, fetal cardiac screening, and liver tumor diagnostics. A hands-on masterclass showcased new ultrasound techniques.
